identification of pear tree

    We have a very old pear tree on our property I would like to get identified. The pears are ripe now, and several people have told me they are "winter" pears that only really ripen after a frost. The leaves are smaller than the Bartlett tree we have, and the pears are quite round with russeting. They are still quite firm, good flavour (not outstanding though)

    Could you post a good picture of the whole fruit? I wonder if it could be an Anjou?

    I was thinking Anjou - just not sure. Here is a photo of a few of the pears.

    No, I don't think so - the shape, size and skin colour look different than Anjou. But I can't say what it could be.
