identification help needed, if anyone can help that would be great.cheers

    I have managed to research all the rest of the plants pictured in this photo but i cannot for the life of me find out what these white and red flowering plants are although i'm sure that they are common and im just being a bit dim this morning. many thanks to anyone who can help. cheers

    i don't think i've ever seen white glads!! absolutely lovely!!!! i've got to find some around here - they'd look really, really nice mixed in with the magenta glads i already have!!

    In the background, left to right, you have.... Echinops, Crocosmia, Solidago(Golden rod),Verbena bonariensis. The dark black, grass like plant in the front is Ophiopogon planiscapus Nigrescens, common name Lilyturf. Hope this helps!

    Gladiolus cultivars are many in number, be careful about adopting a name.

    I've never been fond of glads myself, (remind me too much of funerals, I think), but my neighbour has white glads and I must say they are pretty spectacular.

    That's why they're called glads: after you plant them you are glad you did.

    Actually it appears the tendency for the spikes to snap over after some of the flowers have opened rules most of the large-flowered ones out as reliable plants for general purposes.
