A gentleman from BackyardGardener.com redirected me to this site for identification purposes. Here's the scoop:

I have a few photos of a plant I took last night (in Austin, TX). I've attached images of a leaf, branch, and the trunk, with more photos available on my Flickr page here.

I would appreciate any assistance folks can provide in identifying this plant , so I can search for pictures of mature versions to help decide what I want to do with it. My wife insists it looks like some weeds she saw driving home yesterday ("it going to be an ugly plant, let's remove it"), but it's trunk looks more tree-like than weed-like. (Neither of us are good with plants, so what do we know...). It doesn't look like any of the native trees in the immediate vicinity to me...

If any additional, specific photos would help you with identification, let me know and I'll go snap them when I get home from work. I've inlined a leaf, trunk, and branch image from the link above

    Cheers!

Morus alba an invasive Mulberry species.
Quite common in Austin and extremely variable in leaf form.

That's what I was thinking, but I knew Chris would know.
