Hi, appreciate if anyone could identify this tiny weed growing on the wayside of Singapore (Southeast Asia) bearing in mind this may well not be native. My guess is one of the Lindernia spp. The size of each leaf is about 1.5-2cm across. * first link is 750×500; second link is 3000×2000 side view http://www.hexazona.com/hwchoy/gallery/i3000/20070806_2655.jpg plan view http://www.hexazona.com/hwchoy/gallery/i3000/20070806_2662.jpg habit http://www.hexazona.com/hwchoy/gallery/i3000/20070806_2667.jpg
Lots of people have looked (the thread has had 48 viewings). Sad fact is, most of us are from temperate areas and not well versed in identification of tropical species. Sorry, I certainly don't know what it is.
actually I thought it resembles Torenia in terms of habit and leaf shape, but some what like a Lindernia with the petals curled up. Torenia habit http://www.hexazona.com/hwchoy/gallery/i3000/20070702_2130.jpg Lindernia flower http://www.hexazona.com/hwchoy/gallery/i3000/20070630_2051.jpg
