I have looked all over the net, at hundreds of photos, but cannot identify this plant I received from my mother's funeral without care instructions. Most of the leaves are long, narrow ovals (about 5-6" long and less than 1" wide), but some of the leaves are pointed at the end. Also a few of the leaves have a "spur" off to one side. The lower leaves are dark green with bright yellow spots and center vein (which is fairly wide for the overall size of the leaf). The upper leaves are mostly solid green. The plants (4 in one pot) are about 12" tall, with a center stem. Each leaf has a stem about 1 to 1.5" long. It is such a beautiful and unusual plant, I want to be sure I'm giving it the proper care and light."
Tried to search out a likely species but couldn't pin it down. Too many. Croton Mania page has a lot of pictures and info though. Also might help with an ID. You could email them a link to this thread. Harry
Thanks, Wrygrass and Junglekeeper. I knew it reminded me of something, but couldn't come up with what.... It looks most like the Lady Clare. Thanks again!
