id this weed?

    hi, im new, i have been looking for a place to help me identify some wild foragable plants.... this is a common weed around western KY. i dont have any idea what its called.

    This seems to be a common weed in many places. It is in my back yard in Vancouver. I think it is Rumex crispus(curly dock). I am not certain. I am just using the internet to ID.

    Definitely a Rumex, almost certainly Rumex crispus
     
  4. A little late...it's now 2/2006...but agree emphatically with Daniel Mosquin. The seed coverings turn rust-colored a little later. ...Looks just like that in my pet foraging patch here in the Houston, Texas area.
