I bought it because of it's elegant look on its black stem. Now I don't have a pond, so I keep it in a pot. Now I heard they say it won't survive vancouver winter outdoor, so I brought it inside the house. It's leaves are collecting water and dripping onto the the tiles. That's why I need to keep a piece of towel on the tile. I am looking for the id of this plant or better ways to keep it.

After I moved it indoor, it's having 2 problems. Aphids and mold.

The Aphids can be taken care of by giving the plant a thorough spraydown bath in insecticidal soap, something like Safer's brand (which is availabe at most garden centers and in the garden section of Wal Mart)

The mold can be taken care of by carefully repotting into a new pot and sterile, free-draining soil.
