ID please

    I received this plants from students after I helped in their class. Anybody know what it is?

    Could it be a vigorous marigold seedling? You should be able to tell by scent if you brush the leaves. Doesn't help if you don't know what marigolds smell like. Tagetes erecta, perhaps?

    Young children would be very likely to grow common flowers or common legumes in the classroom in Styrofoam cups.
