ID My Tree/Can I prune?

    Niagara Region,Ontario
    Tree has apparently been left to it's own for 40+ years.Now it is leaning on the house.
    Would like to trim it back .It has beautiful blooms several times a year,but branches have become very fragile.
    Next heavy snowfall will bring it indoors :(

    Saucer magnolia. Prune as little as possible, only enough to get it off the house.
