I have acquired a ground cover in two rather small areas of our lawn (we have 15,000 sq. ft) that I would like to identify and then eradicate. We live in eastern BC at the foot of the Rocky Mt's. I removed two large evergreen trees close to the house and seeded the areas with "Canada # 1" grass seed. This new grass/ground cover has appeared in with the regular grasses but is spreading rapidly and "taking over". I don't want it. I thought it was a dichondra but am now wondering if it is something different. I have attached two photo's for identification. Note the leaves are not smooth but have serrated edges all around, but a similar shaped to the dichondra. It grows low, rarely needs mowing and is on the move. Could you help me identify this "weed" and also give me ideas on how to eradicate it. Thanks
