ID help, shrub from Sichuan

    Do someone recognize this shrub? It's from western Sichuan (China) and grew on a north facing slope in a wood of Pinus armandii. It's a Asteraceae, but more?

    Sorry, not sure what this is, but . . .
    . . . not Pinus armandii? there's no native Pinus wallichiana in Sichuan.
