Hello all, I was wondering if someone could tell me what plant this was growing in my yard. It's growing in the shade, It is like large clup long grass with these beautiful flowers. I live in northwest florida if that helps any. I don't remember ever planting this in my yard and have lieved here for 3 years and this is the first I have seen it, I would just really love to know what it is. Thank you all so much for your time.

Look at members of the family Onagraceae (the Fuchsias) and also check out the rarer bulbs, like Phaedrenassa and its relatives. You say it has grasslike leaves? That points to something in the Lily, Amaryllis, or Iris families for me - Fuchsias are broadleaved.

Ditto to Billbergia nutans. A bromeliad, not a Fuchsia.
