Hi! I have this creeper (had tiny dark pink flowers briefly) which is going crazy... would love to identify it. Many thanks Peter (in London)
Could be the juvenile and adult foliage of one Hedera plant. I don't know the genus well enough to say for sure, but they do tend to have quite distinct juvenile and adult growth.
Don't know what the first is, but definitely not an ivy (note the opposite leaves). Second is an ivy on the right, and the same mystery plant as pic #1 on the left.
look at the other post by palurie - another vine as I recall - looks a lot like the one on the left...
I agree with Michael. 1. and a whispy small bit in 2. Is still a mystery it has opposite leaves and pink flowers. 2. Shows Hedera helix, common name Ivy. which has alternate leaves. 1. Is not the juvenille form of the Hedera helix. ----------------------------------
Sorry Susan, having looked at the other post I cannot see a single thing that resembles the mystery creeper with pink flowers in this post. This is paluries other plant. id by saltcedar as Polygonum..... http://www.botanicalgarden.ubc.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=69105
Got it! Both pics are sideways. Turned round this creeper becomes a climber. It is Jasminum beesianum. Unlike other jasminum it has simple opposite ovate to lanceolate leaves. Flowers are rose to carmine. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgu...a=X&ei=DnP4TdHBFtOFhQfhpsSYDA&ved=0CDAQ9QEwBA http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=e...&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi
