ID help central TX Castilleja sessiliflora ???

    The attached photo was taken in early april, central Texas, 30,58.6293N 99,8.229W. Would like ID for pink flowers in foreground, in front of blue bonnets. Are they Downy Paintbrush ? Help appreciated.

    Castillejas are difficult. I suggest you to post it to Flickr - Orobancheacea group. Mark Egger will give you professional judgement on the species.
