these are growing on a stump in my garden. I looked through my books but i am unsure of the name. thank you for your help
Hi @rocky9 - so far Armillaria seems most likely, but mushroom ID can rarely be done from this distance and without a look at the underside of the cap and full stipe. Would you like to extract one and add photos of it? ... also if you happen to know if stump is hardwood or conifer that is sometimes helpful.
