I'd like to know the name of the predominant trees in these two photos. The trees for both images occur in the same forested area in Canmore Alberta
#1 - American Aspen Populus tremuloides (trunks in foreground with smooth bark); probably spruces in the background, but too distant / obscured to identify. #2 - Alberta White Spruce Picea glauca var. albertiana (foliage at right foreground); trunks most likely more of the same but could include other species as well.
