I think this is a type of palm but I don't know much about plants. This particular plant was growing out of trunk that had bun cut off at the top. The two branches were growing from the sides of the trunk near the top. I guess they did this to make it a fuller looking plant. Well, my husband and I left one day only to return to cat with a "I didn't do it" look an his face. He had knocked the poor plant out of it's pot. I can see him sailing through the air and tackling it to the floor. ( I don't leave plants in pots on the floor anymore.) Anyway, the roots and plant still seemed ok and intact so I replanted it. A few weeks later I noticed that the branches seemed to have a pinch in them that could not be corrected. I cut the branches off and put them in water to try to root them. As you can see they are making roots just fine. What is this plant and when can I replant these in another pot?

Looks like either a Yucca (Y. elephantipes) or a Dracaena (D. reflexa or fragrans). I'm pretty sure it's the Yucca though.
Replant whenever you would like, it's ready to go.
