    Hi:

I used to have this wonderful tree that produced quite a bit of aprocotts each year. The whole tree would be filled with hundreds of approcots that was tasty.

I got the silly idea of trying to fertilize the tree by burying dog manure and a dead animal near the tree root.

This was 7 years ago. Soon after that, the tree must have gotten over fertilized and stopped producing fruits. It has been 7 years and the tree has not come back. This has been a question that has been bugging me.

What can I do to bring this tree back? How do I reverse the burn that I put on the root? Also, if I reverse the soil conditions, will the tree come back? I have heard of some trees never coming back, but I am hoping that there is some ways to reverse the soil damage and have the tree come back.

    Please help.

    thx.

    longtangrove.

Apricot trees are prone to various problems in maritime climates. The waste may have nothing to do with the recent lack of fruit production. What is the tree doing besides not fruiting? What have you been noticing? Any frost damage to the flowers or dying back of branches? Birds eating the flowers?
