I have 2 beautiful weeping lace leaf Japanese Maples needs a new home. Does anyone know if any garden shop or nurseries might want to take them? I don't want to simply just give them away for free since I know these are quite expensive for the size. Both of them are about 5 feet tall, bigger one's trunk is about 16 inches, smaller one's trunk is about 12 inches. I'm not quite sure the age but trees were there when I moved to the house about 25 years ago (doesn't look like it has grown that much since then) so at least 30 years? Photo 1 was taken this afternoon and the other one was taken 2 years ago in a fall. If anyone could suggest good place to post this / or know someone who might be interested in taking them, please reply or email me. thank you in advance. I'm located in Vancouver, BC.
Try selling them in Craigslist first, around $200~300, should sell it quick enough, 400~500 if you can wait. If it has not sold, take your pictures to a group of wholesaler nurseries close to each other in Richmond, BC, there are 4 of them in No. 6 road. Arts, Green timber, Phoenix and Garden in gardens. Also close to them in Westminster highway are Blooms, TCY, TSC, East Richmond Nurseries and Hawaii something. They could pick it up. If still nobody buys them at your desired price, contact the landscapers specially the ones already doing contruction, should be easy to spot in anywhere if you see some construction going on. If all else fails, sell it to UBC Botanical Nursery or Inotabe Garden.
