I need help in identifying a plant in my garden

    This summer was the first time this plant has come up in my garden and I am really curious on what type of plant it is, and if it is poisonous or safe for consumption etc.? see photographs View attachment 28011

    Yep, Pokeweed (Phytolacca americana). Poisonous, except for the young leaves in early spring, which can be eaten cooked.
