My children and my niece like to call this thorny plant a "sticker bush". I think it is a species of blackberry. But I need help with identifying it. It is common in South Alabama as a weed and has white blossoms. Can anyone tell me if the berries of this plant are truly edible? My niece told me to eat one and it has seeds in the inside. Not too sweet but still pleasurable in taste. My husband told me to stop eating until I know for sure if it is non toxic(I only ate six of these). Attached are pictures.
