I have this plant and I do not know what it is or how to properly care for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would say Agloenema too. generally shade exposure is best.

Thanks for the response, it should be helpful. Most of the chinese evergreen that I am seeing pictures of look smaller and seem like they have a lot more leaves and a shorter stalk. Would it be helpful to find out more specifically what kind of chinese evergreen or are they all cared for the same?

Mostly cared for the same from what I read, but some new varieties/cultivars were more frost tolerant than the older ones. Older ones couldn't stand temps lest than 50F and could be damaged just by carrying in from a car, or the draft from an open window. One of the experts here might have better info for you.
