Hello! I'm hoping that someone may be able to help me identify a fungus (I think) that just began growing out of the wall above my shower. It sprouted over the course of three days. I included one picture that I took before work this morning, and one that I took when I got home. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
looks like a Coprinus, which usually need both moisture and nitrogen. i have not heard of it growing indoors.
What are the chances of a mushroom growning out of YOUR shower? That is bazar. I agree, looks like a ink cap, even the way it deteriorated. the viens and the stem type. Same family is all i am willing to venture.
