Hi this plant grows in Golden gate park and I would love to know what it is... any idea?
It has bright purple flowers and long exposed roots.
    Thanks in advance!

Either Geranium maderiense or G. palmatifolium. Haven't paid enough attention to these to know them apart at a glance. Spelling of either species name given here could also be partly erroneous.

Guess it would probably be spelled more like madierense.

The spelling is Geranium maderense according to Yeo.

Yes, I thought of that spelling which is why I ended up with "more like". I should've just looked it up in the first place instead of babbling.
