I live on Southern Vancouver Island. Years ago I used a cold frame to start veggie plants. I'd like to hear from anyone who uses a cold frame. What vegetables do you start in it ? Do you heat the cold frame ? If so, what with ? When do you plant what in the cold frame ? Ideas and tips appreciated.

Plant transplantables, ie cabbage, lettuce, kale... a few strings of lights for warmth at night or cloudy days..., but it is rather early, a swatch of black landscape cloth may help to absorb solar insolation...

You're right about it being early yet. I think I'll wait maybe 3 weeks or so before I plant any seeds.
