I have a blank slate to work with, need ideas

    This is what I started with

    I'm sure I still have 100's of hours of cleaning up back there but I'd like to make it look a little less....... boring???


    maybe a couple flower beds? some ornamental trees?

    I'm open to all suggestions

    Nice work clearing. We were in the same boat whe we purchased our property. I noticed that you hve a golden weeping willow, does that aea get swampy? You could always put in a pond, if you want to keep gold fish in it it will have to be deeper than 24", pererrably
    36-48". Some raised beds for annuals. I decided to grow daylilies, I have 7 different kinds, and they return every year ( last year1 cluster yielded over 150 blooms and flowered over 2 months, yes ornametal trees will also look good, Japnese Maples around a rock garden look wonderful. Also go down to your local library and sign out some garden landscape books, they are full of woderful ideas. Good luck ad have fun, whatever you decide you'll enjoy it when all the flowers are in bloom.
