Someone gave me a cut from a plant and I have no idea what it is. It is big! Looks almost palm like but has long stems and the leaf itself looks like long fingers 8 or so that hang down. Any ideas? Jeanne

Don't know if I can get pic. Isn't a cyperus. At the end of each green stem is a big leave, which then curves in and out looking like fingers. It is only one leaf on end of each stem.

I can think of too many things which could be described that way (Ficus alii, cordyline or dracaena, etc. etc.) so either a good drawing of most of it, with leaf detail, or a photo would be best.
