She has shiny green, thick, non-pliable leaves that grow all curled up, intertwined with each other. I have had her since May 1993 and the first time she bloomed was on Mother's Day 2005. The blooms are both unique and exquisite...the bud is a cluster of hanging "stars", which swell, then pop into a half-sphere of little pink velvet stars. In the middle of the velvet star there is a smaller, darker pink, waxy star that has a white center. Blooms last for weeks. When she is done blooming, the stars fall off but the cluster may re-bloom (or fall off). She roots easily and I have shared many offspring with friends and family. Nobody else's has bloomed yet. Anybody out there know anything of her? I am having trouble attaching a photo...still trying.

Thank you so much! I googled Hindu Rope and found a great picture of her at the following site. http://www.plantoftheweek.org/week164.shtml My .jpeg photo is too large to attach to this site....does anyone know how to reduce the filesize or attach a thumbnail version?
You can reduce your image file size using any graphic software program. There are several available for free on the internet or you can purchase a more powerful program if you want to do more with your images/graphics. I don't know what kind of computer set-up you have, but you may already have such a program installed. The software programs that come with cameras often have simple editing abilities. Look over the programs installed on you system to see what you have. You can do an internet search for "reducing images" or "editing photos" of something like that to find free downloads. Hope this helps,
