Hello. I got this plant as a gift from a friend of my mom as a seedling and have had it for about 3 years. I have no idea what it is! I hope someone can tell me. His stem is really neat looking, and has been spitting out these little seeds and spore looking things. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Wait! I think I just may have found it in another identification thread! Euphorbia leuconeura! Is that right?

I've been doing some research on this plant and I've come across some info about its sap being a toxic irritant as well as a tumour promoting agent. Do I need to be careful about touching the plant at all? I don't think I've actually touched the sap before, but of all this time having no idea what this plant was, I have been touching the branches and stroking the leaves. Is this something I should be concerned about, or am I just being a little paranoid?

General consensus is to exercise caution with the sap, along the lines of that suggested in this document.

Had to reply because I accidentally rubbed my eyes after getting some sap on my hands. I cannot tell you how much pain I was in. Had to go to the hospital to get some treatment for my eyes. I did not know about the sap being so toxin. Please be very careful about the sap. This is a great site. You are doing a great job. Really enjoy reading and learning.
