Hello. I just registered today and am learning how to post. I want to find some information on planting my 5 gallon potted 'Glowing Embers' hydrangea (about 3-4 months old) into a flower bed and what to do/use besides good compost. Should I also use wood chips? It is an Eastern exposure with some roof overhang and I'm in Zone 9 which can get scorchingly hot in the summer. I really don't have a desirable shade location as my trees are still very young. Also, I have drip irrigation available, so is this good for it or is deep watering desirable/necessary?

    Thanks for any help.
