I received three transplanted hydrangeas last year from a friend. They are starting to show signs of surviving the winter and beginning to show new growth. How far down do I cut off last years old growth, to prep the plats for this year? Not sure if I cut them right to the ground or leave some of the old growth. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
