    Hi all,

I recently bought a beautiful hydrangea plant with very full blooms and leaves. I have only had this plant for about 4 days and already the blooms have started to wilt. Is this normal?? Am I doing something wrong? This is my first hydrangea plant.

When I bought it, the soil was very moist. I have only watered lightly once and misted once very lightly. I have the plant near a south facing window where it gets bright direct sunlight. Is this too much light? Does it need more water?

Any help would be appreciated, I want to make sure this plant survives at least till summer!

    Thanks kindly.

hydrangea are very thirsty!! so, yes, water thoroughly every few days as it's needed while it's in the pot.

when you plant it, find a spot that is very moist and a bit shaded. if you don't have a fairly moist spot for it, then you'll need water it every few days (unless it rains) for it to thrive.
