I recently had surgery and my husband saw this plant outside the hospital. The picture is of poor quality and not sure how to describe it since i was groggy when i left the hospital. I am attaching a picture. they are the plants in the middle of the group. If anyone has any clues to this please let me know. Thank you for your time.

I second cleome. An annual, easy to grow from seed.

Cleomes would be those tall plants in the back of the "group". But you did say middle of the group.................... the ones with the red coloured flowers?

Hmmm. Hard to say what toemoepie meant by middle of the group and even harder to say what the red flowers are. In the very front, I guess liriope. Behind that with red flowers, judging by location, I would guess angel wing begonias.

Eric, I agree. The picture is a bit out of focus, but by manipulating the image, those plants in the middle do look like begonias.

Thank you for your answers. I did mean the ones in the very back. I said middle because I didn't realize that I didn't explain this was a circular patch. oops. But I am talkind about the flowers in the very back the talls ones. Yes the ones on the second row are begonias (red).
