hummingbird flower identification

    I am a hummingbird photographer, and I am requesting help identifying this plant. Picture taken in Costa Rica.

    some type of 'hens & chicks' either echeveria or sempervivum

    Joclyn was just about there...it's an Echeveria imbricata. That's a splendid shot of hummer & plant! Congrats!

    i'm still learning :)

    it's good to know that i have actually learned something along the way...i WAS leaning more towards echeveria - just wasn't completely sure if i was spot-on or not. and then, i still had no idea of particular variety...so, thought i'd cover myself by mentioning both...

    i forgot to compliment you, tcl, about the pic. it's absolutely fabulous!!

    Beautiful shot, well done tlairmore!

    The reds will fetch the hummers in, just not in my garden lol

    But look, maybe this will tempt...hahaha

    Here is an image of a hummer I found a couple of years back.

    Can you say for certain every image belongs to a person or a page?

    I also only get most images from Wikipedia ..the free Encyclopeadia, I also donate every month. I also only use if its in the
