There was an article making the rounds of the papers last week on corn smut, or huitlacoche, as it's known in Mexico, becoming a trendy food. Wikipedia has a write-up and photos. The article I saw in the Vancouver Sun, which is available to almost no-one, was pretty similar to this MSNBC one - Corn smut? Tastes great and good for you too.
