I just invested in a 400 watt hps light for plant growth and I have it about 18 inches from all my growing palms I was wondering if you all had suggestions on how far to put it? Or do I have it at the correct length I put it where the owners manual said too. Thank you for any assistance. Tom24 ps: I will post new pics of my washingtonia's soon
That's ok, but no closer !!!!!! For bananas, 20 inches or more. Otherwise, you might have fried leaves. The sodiums heat up more than Halide. 12 inches or more for 400w Halide. I use a blend of both.
