I had two Palmetto Palms planted last year(April '06) and one did great, ie., new frones coming out, staying green, etc. The other never did anything. No new growth, nothing. I'm scared it is dead, but I do not know how to tell. How can I tell?

As long as your palm is still green or at least has a green center spear (that does not pull out) there is still hope for your palm. It is not uncommon for a newly planted palm to 'sit' for it's first year. It may just be putting it's efforts towards root developement.

You must be patient. The next growing season is just beginning and you should see some action this year.

    Thanks,
Me and my wife are going to get some fertilizer for just palms(12-4-12, 13-3-13) and hope it takes off. Thanks for your time. God Bless
