Hi I have had two of these trees quite large in pots for the past fifteen years in full sun no problem. So fine years ago I got another small one and trained it into a sort of column shape.. Now suddenly it gets these white mould on the leaved from the bottom up. I put soapy water twice but it comes back again. Any advice & solution? I don't have mildew anywhere else in the garden Thank you very much.
powdery mildew on Physocarpus: https://pnwhandbooks.org/plantdisease/host-disease/ninebark-physocarpus-spp-powdery-mildew#:~:text=Powdery mildew is also suspected, close association with the host. Here’s another link mentioning an alternate treatment: https://www.melindamyers.com/articl...baking soda,to protect the uninfected foliage.
Thank you. Yes it is standing in rather semi morning shadow. Will treat and move it. It's in a pot. Thank you very much.
