Propagation: How to root burro's tail

hi i have read the info that was written about the burrows tail plant, i got a new one today and some of the tiny little leaf like things fell off,,can i root them the same way by letting them dry out a couple of days to scab over and stick them in moistend soil to take root?

 

That's what I would do. This method appears to be the right approach for succulents.
