I have three Trachelospermum jasminoides espaliered onto trellises in containers on south facing balcony. Newly planted last spring they are about to burst into bloom. Most online advice is for plants in ground not container. Prune after flowering? Prune lower branches if they can't be trained back & up / or if it's too bushy at the bottom?
Thanks for any thoughts. I will try to attach photo

Prune lightly after flowering this year
Once the plant is fully established to the area you want then prune it hard immediately after flowering each year.

    Pleasure.
When I say prune it hard, I mean to prune the new growth back to the main stems growing through the trellis
