Hi, I'm a photographer and I love photographing flowers. My problem is, I don't know anything about them, particularly flower names. Is there a resource I can use to identify flowers or should I just post the photos here and ask what it is?

Depends on what you want. If you simply want an ID to go with a photo, post away. If you want to gain knowledge of plant families, genera, etc. get ahold of some good basic books.

Suggest you do both: post your photos---we would be glad to see 'em!---and read at the same time. We all had to start somewhere! If you have pix of a flower that you really like, have us ID it. When you find out what it is, go read about it. One plant leads to another! Always good to study something for which you feel enthusiasm.

    Await your photos!
    And: welcome to the Forum.
