We have our pond ready to go, now I'm looking for ideas on greenery and possibly flowering vines to climb the rocks. The rocks are cemented together, so no dirt for a plant to grab onto, but there must be something I can cover the rocks with?

    Here's a picture...
It's a shady w very little sun area. Thanx!!

Well if you keep the stones wet, you'll probably get moss.

Failing all else lichen can look quite attractive. I understand that "painting" the rocks with yoghurt or manure will encourage its growth. A while back someone posted about blending a mixture in their blender to start off the growth of moss.
Are there any plants which you could root in the water and which would spread outwards over the rocks?

Not all vines need soil to climb, some have little suckers to get where they're going. you just need soil where the plant starts.
You might want to consider something other than a vine, as you have very little height going on, taller plants might give you some more interesting varied height.
Maybe even something with big leaves.
What sort of theme are you going for in the overall garden?
