    Hi,

Newb question here. I have a couple of potted maples and want to know what's a good way to acidify the soil. I saw on an OSH commercial that one can brew tea and use that to water the plants (after it has cooled of course). Is this a good way to add acid? Would it be too strong? Is there a better way?

    Thanks,

    Hi,
I use coffee grounds. I have read that they acidify the soil. I sprinkle them around my roses and Camelias, whcih also like acidic conditions.
Havent used them on my maples yet, there are all small 1-2 year grafts.
Once bigger and established (less sensitive roots), i will propably use them.

    Mike
