How thick does a Grape Vine trunk get? The grape vines I planted are 5 inches away from the concrete wall. It should not be a problem because Grapevines root grow straight down... I figure I'm fine with the planting I see my grandfather's grape vines and they are 50+ years old and it is 6 inches in total trunk diameter.
Should be OK. The stems may eventually get thicker, but they'll just grow on the side away from the concrete, same as with a tree growing next to a large rock.
