How soon should I water the plant before fertilizing?

Hi guys
I understand fertiliser should not be applied to dry soil in house plants. My question is do I water the plant the day before and fertilise the following day or do I water it and wait half an hour and fertilise?
I'll be using miracle gro all purpose soluble.
Any advice is much appreciated

 

It doesn't really matter how much time has passed since watering. Apply water and fertilizer when the soil is still somewhat moist and not completely dry.
