I want to plant a row of Japanese Hollyferns between my garage and sidewalk. I would like for them to fill in nicely and naturally without pruning them. How far apart should they be planted so they fill in before I am too old to enjoy them, but don't get so crowded they look like my boxwood hedge? (I live in Texas.) Thanks!
