Hello my mother just purchased an Itoh peony and she is unsure of how deep to plant it. She lives in zone 5b. One site suggested planting eyes 4 inches below surface, but nursery where she purchased it said to plant at same level as in pot where the eyes are 2 inches above soil. Thanks for your help. Laura
I don't know about this hybrid. I see info on the web that they should be planted with the eyes at the surface, like herbaceous peonies.
