How deep to plant Itoh peony

    Hello my mother just purchased an Itoh peony and she is unsure of how deep to plant it. She lives in zone 5b. One site suggested planting eyes 4 inches below surface, but nursery where she purchased it said to plant at same level as in pot where the eyes are 2 inches above soil.

    I don't know about this hybrid. I see info on the web that they should be planted with the eyes at the surface, like herbaceous peonies.
