Hi, I have a windmill palm that is sprouting something that I think, may be seeds, but I would really like to know. I honestly thought that it was dying, but with doing some research, that maynot be the case. How can I tell if it is "female" or "male" and what to do next. I am really interested to know what to do, any help whatsoever would be appreciated, as Ive never really had a "green thumb". But I LOVE my Palm tree and it is my pride and joy in my yard! Thanks again for any help!!

Might be that your palm is flowering for you.

If this 'something' is sprouting horizontally from the trunk, then I would say it is starting to flower, which would then become seeds. Pictures would be helpful, though.
