Hi Living in BC Vancouver area one always tries to find the "right way" for the Kale to make it the best through or the longest through winter. Most of my Kale is quite tall now and a friend in Australia advised me to cut all the plants at a diagonal so water will not spoil the trunk. I am trying to see if I can "lower" all the plants Kale height to put small green house protection over it. I left it out in the rain frost and snow over several years in the past and I have never seen it grow in a "healthy" way as it is told to grow in the winter also. I am looking for other Kale growers comments from our area or others. Thanks
