    Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with one of my houseplants. The bottom leaves are turning brown, and the problem seems to be spreading. It's only hit the bottom leaves so far though. At first I may have been watering it too much, and as such I have been leaving it dry for quite a long time before rewatering.

I'm also wondering if some of the problem is that the plant needs repotting. Any ideas? see the pics attached.

    Thanks in advance.

the plant does need repotting into a 6" pot, and it is normal for this plant to loose its bottom leaves as the trunk will get woody with age.
